We welcome you to our 16th century cottage in the centre of the historic market town of Clare, the smallest town in Suffolk.
Our centrally located self catering cottage is within walking distance to many of the town’s most popular attractions such as the Clare Castle, Clare Country Park, the Priory, the Ancient House Museum, antique and independent shops, tea rooms, restaurants and bars.
We are a short drive to villages such as Cavendish, Long Melford and the medieval village of Lavenham. Cambridge, Bury St Edmunds, Newmarket, Sudbury and Colchester are also within easy travelling distance by car and public transport.
Almond Cottage is ideal for couples, families, friends and business travellers who wish to be moments from the centre of Clare, happy in the knowledge they have a comfortable place to relax and unwind.

Any cancellation must be made in writing (email is acceptable).
Cancellation of your booking up to six weeks prior to your holiday will result in the forfeit of the deposit.
Cancellation of your booking between four and six weeks prior to your holiday will result in 50% forfeit of the total rental fee.
Cancellation of your booking between two and four weeks prior to your holiday will result in 75% forfeit of the total rental fee.
Cancellation less than two weeks prior to your holiday will result in the forfeit of the total rental fee.
You are advised to take out holiday insurance to cover this eventuality.
No we do not allow dogs, we have a strict no pet policy.
There are no allocated or free off street parking spaces, however if it is safe to do so, you can pull over quickly alongside the cottage to load and un-load cars. There are two time restricted parking spaces opposite the cottage which can be used, and free on street parking just a little further down the road. The road opposite the cottage leads to a public car park, which is only a minutes walk back to the cottage. You will need to check the parking charges and times.
Electric cars cannot be re-charged at Almond Cottage. If using an electric car please familiarise yourself with local charging stations prior to arrival as under no circumstances may the domestic power supply be used for this purpose.
Check in is from 4pm. Early check in may be available if agreed in advance only.
Check out is at 10.30am and we would ask that you leave the property promptly so that we can have the property ready for our next guests. A late check out may be possible by prior arrangement only.
Yes, we have fast and free wifi available throughout the cottage.
